CASE STUDY
We've tried to replicate the cat daddy half-orc sculpted for Shoshie Bauer with Hero Forge's system. No catch, no fuss: just trying to generate a figurine based on the art provided. As you can see, the result is quite limited!
LIMITED OPTIONS VS FULL CUSTOM SCULPT
Their system is quite cool: you can choose among nearly 40 poses, dozens of hairstlyes, clothes, pieces of armor… However, options are limited. You can’t make a silk purse out of a pig’s ear! On the other hand, our team can add to your character not just tailor made historical or fantasy clothes, facial features and pieces of armor, but all those complements that make their entire attire unique: piercings, visible and even assymetric fangs, rings, bracelets, necklaces, scars or bounds…
What if your character has a non-normative kind of body? Let us sculpt your character as you envision her or him -or them!: chubby, skinny, bulky, with a massive butt, maybe a ridiculously small head, with veins marked or a circumcised penis. Our artists will sculpt an anatomically correct, full of life model.

The original artwork depicted a cat over the character’s shoulder and another cat under his leg. In the Miniature creator, it was not possible to replicate the walking cat’s position or add any cat over the character. However, as a high-quality alternative to Heroforge, our studio was able to add that kitten marking the orc’s face with his own, with a paw deforming the half-orc’s back skin. The long-haired cat is clearly male, as evident from its anatomy, and we also included a toy for him – a monkey knot ball – on the ground.
Regarding the thick straps in the miniature creator model, they are a result of automatic item addition. These straps are sometimes excessively thick to ensure that the entire figurine will be printed. However, we will ensure that your character’s belts and clothes fit snugly and are adapted to the body’s main shape.
When it comes to the pieces of armor, using Heroforge can lead to issues such as floating shoulder pads or misaligned pieces. On the other hand, our team will ensure that every single piece of armor is well placed and does not intersect with any other item.
